Walking the Blue Carpet at the World Premiere of Finding Dory!

~ A photo essay by Jen (California, USA)

Finding Nemo is one of my favorite movies, and so when Ellen Degeneres  announced on her show that there was going to be a sequel called Finding Dory, I was ecstatic. When I was invited to attend the World Premiere of Finding Dory, I couldn't believe it!

Jen on the blue carpet!

On the day of the premiere, I arrived in Hollywood with time to spare. The carpet hadn't opened for guests yet, so I went up to the top level of the Hollywood and Highland mall across the street to check out the preparations.

News media were getting ready for the arrival of the celebrities ...

... and in the afterparty area ...

... a talented crew was busy creating a Dory sand sculpture.

The time to check in was here, so I made my way to the will call tent. Minutes later, I stepped onto the blue carpet!

My first stop was this awesome display, complete with a bubble machine!

It was the first stop for many of the celebrities as well.
(Pictured left to right: Madison Hu, Jojo Siwa, and Ethan Wacker.)

Non-celebrities were diverted away from the press through a corridor lined with beautiful movie posters. The air was filled with bubbles!

At the end of the corridor, the celebrity portion of the carpet came back into view.

Beyond the barricades across the street, people started cheering and chanting, "El-len, El-len, El-len." Ellen Degeneres was here! I watched her get interviewed by Access Hollywood's Alex Hudgens ...

... and for Extra (where she was interviewed by Mario Lopez's little girl, Gia).

So cute!

Not far away were Stephen "tWitch" Boss and Allison Holker ...

... and Ed O'Neill, whose long list of credits now includes voicing Hank the octopus in Finding Dory.

I was excited to see Andrew Stanton (center), who wrote and directed Finding Nemo, WALL-E, and Finding Dory!

Adorable anatomy expert Brielle Milla was on the carpet as well. On the Ellen show, Ellen Degeneres invited Brielle to the Finding Dory premiere and presented her with this cool outfit to wear.

At the end of the carpet, there was a final photo op ...
(Pictured left to right: DeVore Ledridge, Madison Hu, Olivia Rodrigo, and Ethan Wacker.)

... and then it was into the theater for the movie I'd been waiting thirteen years for: Finding Dory!

After the movie, I attended the Finding Dory afterparty on Hollywood Boulevard.

The World Premiere of Finding Dory was held on June 8, 2016, at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, USA.
